A large, creeping herbaceous member of the Melastomataceae from Peninsular Thailand to Sumatra with heart-shaped to round, slightly hairy, deep green foliage. When grown in shade, it is blue-green iridescent. Flowers are small and cherry-red. Quite easy when kept drier and in shade.
