Nepenthes ampullaria 'Black Miracle'
Nepenthes ampullaria 'Black Miracle'
The original cultivar first discovered in Indonesia and obtained by us in 2017. This is not a cross with a different coloured N. ampullaria nor a hybrid.
Pitchers are dark brown, almost black, with varying amounts of peristome striping. Some turn out very striped, some are almost solid green. Leaves in the rosette stage bear black variegation, but those in the vining stage do not. Male.
The third picture shows an extra large specimen, which is an upper cutting with basal pitchers forming.
